'The Hobbit' was written by J.R.R. Tolkien's in 1937 and remains one of the best-selling books in history. The character of Thorin Oakenshield is leader of the Company of Dwarves who aim to reclaim their home, the Lonely Mountain, and Thorin's birthright of King of the Dwarves, from Smaug the dragon. Portrayed by Richard Armitage in the Warner Bros film, he is King under the Mountain. Thorin is a great option for Book week!
